CMS stands for Content Management System. The Webflow CMS is very different from other CMSs on the market because of its customization options and user-friendliness. You can expand your site yourself at any time, adapt content and change SEO parameters.
Yes, your website can be hosted via Webflow. Due to the worldwide server structure, websites hosted via Webflow are highly performant. At the same time, all hosted websites are automatically protected by an SSL certificate.
Webflow already offers standardized interfaces to popular CRM softwares like Salesforce and Hubspot, Google products like Google Analytics, marketing tools like Mailchimp and integration tools like Zapier. More information on interfaces and integrations can be found here.
The Webflow account is free of charge. There are costs for hosting your website via Webflow, the exact amount depends on your size and desired bandwidth. You can find the exact prices of Webflow here.
Webflow itself does not yet offer multi-language websites. For this, we use the tool Weglot, which sets up translations using subdomains and translates content. You can find more information about the integration of Weglot into Webflow here.
Webflow vs. Wordpress – The features in comparison
Loading times & performance
Webflow offers the highest performance and page speed through its hosting structure. At the same time, code programmed with Webflow is characterized by its clear structure and semantics. Websites can also be flexibly adapted to mobile devices in Webflow, enabling the development of user-friendly websites with an optimal user experience for every device.
Websites programmed with Wordpress are more prone to errors and security vulnerabilities due to their dependence on plugins. This can lead to code loading errors and slow loading times. In addition, the functionality of plugins cannot be guaranteed, as the responsibility for this lies with the programmers of the plugins and is managed on a decentralized basis.
SEO Management
In Webflow, SEO parameters such as meta descriptions, title tags, alt tags, redirects, XML sitemaps and canonical tags can be adjusted directly in the CMS.
The adaptation and maintenance of SEO parameters is covered by Wordpress within the framework of plugins, which are not managed and maintained by Wordpress. They must be downloaded and set up separately.
Security
Websites hosted via Webflow are not only highly performant, but also secure. They automatically receive SSL certification, which has been mandatory under DSGVO since 2018 and encrypts data during exchange.
Setting up an SSL certificate is handled in Wordpress with plug-ins, which are administered in a decentralized manner and must be regularly checked for functionality at the user's own responsibility.

Webflow maintains continuous versioning and backups of your website, which you can restore with just one click. Updates are automated by Webflow and do not require any manual effort, thus guaranteeing continuous quality and security.
Updates are due at irregular intervals for all elements of your Wordpress website such as plugins, themes and Wordpress itself. In order to close security gaps, checks, maintenance and backups must therefore be carried out manually at regular intervals.
